Stanford welcomes guest students
Approximately 27 undergraduate students from universities affected by Hurricane Katrina have begun arriving on Stanford University's campus as guest students for the Fall Quarter. Freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors from Tulane, Xavier, Dillard and Loyola universities will begin classes when instruction begins Monday, September 26. All  of these students have been encouraged to join Stanford's freshman class and transfer students in New Student Orientation activities this week.

In addition, five third-year students from Tulane Law School began taking classes when Stanford Law School's term began earlier this month. Offers also have been made to graduate students in the Business School and the schools of Humanities and Sciences, Engineering and Earth Sciences.
